Blogging Is Like Courting A Girl

Firstly, when you start your first blog, you cannot stop! You must keep blogging till you drop! Secondly, when you blog 5 times a day, you must continue to blog 5 times a day! Or else your readers won’t feel your love. Likewise, when you tell a girl that you love her, you better continue loving her! And when you have set the number of times to meet her in a week, you better continue to do that or else your girl wouldn’t feel your love!

I don’t know if this is a universal answer to all. But it seems like it is the case for many people in my surroundings. I have even read in magazines that if you are setting a very high expectations on the bed for your girl, you cannot set it down anymore… So better keep it up! So, the best way is to tune it slowly and steadily upwards…

It’s like a way of keeping the relationship (with the girl or your readers) strong… You can keep it strong by maintaining that standard all the way so that you can keep your readers understand your frequency… If you do otherwise (such that you have already set a very high standard on your first day), you might get yourself into trouble of maintaining that standard… Your readers (or your girl) might find you boring… It’s really up to your audience to determine whether you should be continued inside their radar of visits.

Just imagine you asking your girl out for an expensive candlelight dinner on your first date… And for the rest of the days in dating, you kept asking her out only to eat budget meals all the time… Never ever going for another expensive meal because you have just burned a hole in your pocket…

Or, just imagine your blog has got fantastic entries in the first week… Attracting quite a number of readers subscribing to your feed… And for the rest of your blogging career, you are either missing in action or blogging zero-quality posts on your blog… Probably just to get past another day of blogging chore… The number of readers will eventually drop… and it may even drop drastically!

This topic just came to my mind while I was working on my project… I found a similarity there! So coincidental… I thought it would be nice to share with you all…

The moral of the story is… Treat your blog as a hobby… An important hobby not to be missed!
